This policy applies to the EasySchoolBus Android app, web dashboards, payment flows, school store, marketplace features, and support pages operated by Easy School Bus Management.
1. Who We Are
EasySchoolBus provides school transportation management tools for schools, parents or guardians, drivers, and administrators. Our services include bus tracking, student check-in, parent dashboards, driver dashboards, school administration, school store ordering, marketplace links, payment processing, notifications, and support.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information such as name, email address, phone number, role, school, and login identifiers.
- Student transportation information provided by a parent, guardian, or school, such as student name, grade, assigned route, stop, attendance, and bus assignment.
- Driver and vehicle information such as assigned route, active trip status, vehicle details, and driver contact details.
- Location data from driver devices during active bus trips so parents and school administrators can see the bus location.
- Payment and billing records such as amount, transaction status, school or driver payout status, order records, and receipt details.
- School store and marketplace records such as product names, order details, fulfillment status, and support messages.
- Technical information such as device type, app version, browser, IP address, error logs, notification tokens, and security events.
3. Driver Location Data
When a driver starts an active trip, the app may collect precise GPS coordinates so the school and authorized parents can track the bus. Location tracking is used only for school transportation safety, route visibility, check-in, arrival, and operational reporting. Tracking stops when the trip is ended or the driver is no longer using an active tracking session.
The Android app may request background location permission for drivers so the bus remains visible during an active trip when the screen is locked or the app is in the background. We do not sell driver location data.
4. How We Use Information
- Provide real-time bus tracking, route management, student check-in, and school transportation dashboards.
- Send operational notifications such as bus arrival, trip status, student attendance, payment status, and school messages.
- Process payments, subscriptions, refunds, payouts, receipts, and billing support.
- Operate school store, marketplace, Amazon product discovery, and order management features.
- Protect accounts, prevent fraud, troubleshoot errors, improve performance, and comply with legal obligations.
- Respond to support, privacy, billing, and account requests.
5. Payments
EasySchoolBus uses third-party payment processors for supported regions, including Stripe for United States payments and Stripe-supported card payments in other enabled regions. Payment processors collect and process payment information according to their own terms and privacy policies. EasySchoolBus does not store full card numbers or card security codes on its servers.
6. School Store, Marketplace, and Amazon Links
Schools may add products to a school store that parents can view in their dashboard when the feature is enabled for that school. Marketplace and Amazon product discovery features may send parents to an external website. External websites have their own privacy practices and may receive information such as the page visited, search query, or referral information. EasySchoolBus does not share student route, attendance, or live location data with Amazon or marketplace sellers.
7. How We Share Information
- With authorized school administrators, transportation staff, drivers, and parents or guardians based on their role and school relationship.
- With payment processors, cloud hosting providers, notification providers, analytics/error monitoring tools, and support vendors needed to operate the service.
- With government, law enforcement, or regulators when required by law or to protect safety and legal rights.
- With a successor organization if EasySchoolBus is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information or student transportation data.
8. Children and Student Privacy
EasySchoolBus is designed for use by schools, parents or guardians, drivers, and administrators. Children do not create independent accounts. Student information is entered or managed by parents, guardians, or schools and is limited to what is needed for school transportation and related support. Schools and parents remain responsible for obtaining any consents required by their local laws and school policies.
9. Data Retention
- Account and school records are retained while the account or school relationship is active.
- Payment, payout, invoice, refund, and tax records may be retained for up to 7 years where required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
- Trip, attendance, route, and location history may be retained for up to 12 months unless the school or applicable law requires a shorter or longer period.
- Support messages and technical logs are retained only as long as needed for support, security, troubleshooting, and compliance.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transport, role-based access controls, Firebase security rules, and restricted administrator access. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect personal, school, payment, and transportation information from unauthorized access.
11. Your Choices and Rights
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Some information may need to be retained for transportation safety records, payment records, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution. Parents and guardians may also contact their school to correct student transportation records.
12. Regional Notices
EasySchoolBus may support schools in the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, and other regions. Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights under local law, including rights to access, correct, delete, object to, or restrict certain processing. Contact us and we will help route your request appropriately.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide notice through the app, website, or email where appropriate.
